Skales Reveals How Burna Boy Asked Davido for Space on Private Jet During Yola Trip

Nigerian singer, Skales, has recounted an interesting experience involving Grammy-winning musician Burna Boy and Afrobeats star Davido, revealing how the former allegedly requested space on Davido’s private jet for a trip to Yola, Adamawa State.

Skales shared the story while recalling a performance trip to Yola, where he and Burna Boy were scheduled to perform at the same event.

According to the singer, Burna Boy contacted Davido to ask whether he could join him and his entourage on the private jet for the journey.

Davido reportedly agreed to the request despite the limited space available on the aircraft.

However, the arrangement came with a logistical challenge as the jet was already occupied by several members of Davido’s team.

Skales explained that Davido had to ask one of his team members to travel the following day to accommodate Burna Boy.

Recounting the unusual flight experience, Skales disclosed that the aircraft was so crowded that someone had to sit on the toilet seat during the journey.

He also revealed that Davido gave up his own seat for him, an action he apparently remembered as part of the experience.

“Burna called Davido and said, ‘Please, can I join their jet?’ Davido said, ‘Why not?’” Skales recalled.

The singer further disclosed that the Yola performance turned out to be significant for his music career.

He said the experience eventually connected him with international music group Major Lazer, with whom he subsequently collaborated on music.

The revelation has added another interesting account to the history of relationships and encounters among some of Nigeria’s biggest music stars.

Although Burna Boy and Davido are both internationally recognised Afrobeats artistes, their relationship has attracted public attention over the years, with occasional disagreements and exchanges generating conversations among fans.

Skales’ account, however, offers a glimpse into an earlier period when professional engagements and shared performance schedules brought the artistes together.

The development has also drawn attention to Davido’s reported gesture of accommodating fellow artistes and making adjustments to his travel arrangements to facilitate the journey.
