Gehgeh Blasts Carter Efe Over VeryDarkMan Feud, Warns Against Fighting Others’ Battles

Financial commentator and social media personality, Gehgeh, has criticised Nigerian streamer Carter Efe for involving himself in the ongoing disagreement between social media activist VeryDarkMan and music stars Davido and Zlatan Ibile.

Gehgeh described Carter Efe’s decision to confront VeryDarkMan on behalf of the musicians as foolish, warning that people should avoid putting themselves in unnecessary trouble while defending friends and associates who have greater influence and resources.

He gave the warning while reacting to reports that Carter Efe had been petitioned over comments directed at VeryDarkMan and threats involving the activist’s mother.

Carter Efe had earlier threatened to continue attacking VeryDarkMan over his criticism of Davido and Zlatan, whom he described as his benefactors.

During a livestream, the streamer reportedly made threatening remarks against the activist, including comments about his mother, further escalating the disagreement between the two internet personalities.

Reacting to the development, Gehgeh argued that defending influential friends by engaging their perceived enemies could expose less influential individuals to unnecessary consequences.

“The worst mistake you fit make for this life na to help your friends fight their enemies, especially when those your friends get power and influence pass you,” he said.

He advised Carter Efe to demonstrate his appreciation for Zlatan through positive support for the rapper’s business interests rather than engaging in verbal confrontations with his critics.

According to Gehgeh, Carter Efe could support Zlatan by purchasing clothes from his fashion brand, wearing them publicly and encouraging others to patronise the business.

He also questioned why Carter Efe felt compelled to intervene in Davido’s disagreement with VeryDarkMan, arguing that the singer possessed sufficient financial resources, connections and influence to address the matter independently.

Gehgeh further observed that despite VeryDarkMan’s criticisms of Davido and members of the Adeleke family, the singer’s relatives had not publicly joined the confrontation in the manner Carter Efe had.

The financial commentator also disclosed that Davido had previously supported him when he launched his university, describing the singer as the first major artiste to recognise the institution during its period of public attention.

He said the singer’s recognition helped generate visibility for the institution, adding that he subsequently appreciated Davido by celebrating his album and encouraging people to stream his music.

The latest disagreement has added another dimension to the growing public exchanges involving VeryDarkMan, Carter Efe, Davido and Zlatan.

The controversy has continued to attract attention across social media, with discussions centred on celebrity loyalty, online confrontations and the responsibilities of public figures when disagreements become personal.
